Julie Brantley Blankenship, DC, BCAO
Dr. Blankenship is a native of North Augusta. She attended two years at the University of South Carolina before completing an additional five years of education at Life University in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from Life University in 1994 with a Doctorate of Chiropractic (DC) degree. She also attained a post-graduate x-ray pathology and physiotherapy certification. While in school, her research for the Atlanta Chapter of United Cerebral Palsy, utilizing a specific upper cervical technique, was published. She continues to use this technique in her practice. She has her national and state board certifications in Chiropractic for South Carolina and Georgia. Dr. Blankenship is also board certified in the Atlas Orthogonal technique, which allows for an extremely precise and low-force method for adjusting a patient's cervical spine (neck).
In July of 1995, Dr. Brantley at the time went into practice at 503 Georgia Avenue. She then built and moved into her current office on West Avenue in 2002, where associates and massage therapists joined her practice. She is the president of Brantley Chiropractic, P.C. and a member of both the American and South Carolina Chiropractic Associations. She is a past president of the Augusta Lions Club. Dr. Blankenship also served as an ambassador chairman and board member of the North Augusta Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Blankenship has affiliated with the Georgia Health Sciences University since 1998 as a guest lecturer to the medical and physical therapy students on chiropractic. She was a chef at the annual Medical College of Georgia Doctors Who Cook fundraiser. In January of 2005, Dr. Brantley became Dr. Blankenship and is now referred to as simply "Dr. B." With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Blankenship strives to provide the most appropriate and precise care to her patients.
